other ideas

in the shop there could be signs in other departments that let you know about the picnic and go looking for it.

Point of sale

I thought I would make a mock up of how the picnic could be displayed in the shop, I used a picture and traced it on illustrator.

I added bunting and signs and kept the colours in context

sale

I have now printed off all my boards an very happy with them. There is not long left now and I thought maybe I should do a one day brief. However i thought I would expand the marks and spencer brief and do some points of sale as I didnt get to create much for this project I only got to illustrate.
I found some photo that I look in marks and spencers for the last ycn brief and thought I would have a look if they were useful.

Below is a sign that would be found in M&S. It matches the theme of the picnic. I want to create a picnic counter to sell the picnic bags.

Marks & Spencers

We went to marks and spencers to have a look at their packaging, unfortunatly we found that they had already done the doily idea.
Our doily idea is different to theirs so I am not too worried. It could be an advantage as they might think  ours fits in with their shop and their range or they might think it has already been done.

Example of packaging

For the package of the sandwiches and buns and jam we have come up with a doily wrapped around the foods. This part of the brief will be done by steph but I have made an example of what it will look like. The typeface will be chosen by steph as well.

we have thought of using stickers to join the strap to the doily.

Strap

For the sandwiches and scones packaging we have decided to wrap a doily around them with information and illustration on. We would need a strap to join the doily together so I have created this...

This is a concept of how the packaging could look.

Tea Labels

Tea Labels also made from doilys. We Have decided to put tea bags in to the menu but people would have to bring their own flask of hot water for them to make it.

I have used one of the other doilies I originally made and filled the middle in with a block colour. I think this one works better as there is more detail.

The tea bags would have an outer packaging and then the tea bag would have a string and a  label saying what type of tea it would be.

Afternoon tea doilys

Some mock ups of how the doily with illustrations could look. I have added text but this is going to be done by steph.

Aranging

flower

As well as the buns and scones and teacups and pot that is going on the packaging, I was thinking maybe we need something else to help make the patterns up that we are wanting to do. I am wanting to create some swirls a curly lines to add more decoration. I also thought if I draw a few flowers they could also add to decoration.
