Final Musiquarium Poster and Flyer

After a talk with Chris we decided the other images with the stairs we're too busy and hard to understand. we decided to go for the original image with this background. I think it looks quite circus like...Could be an elephant standing on a ball. Im not sure that a chicken on an egg is the best example of a paradox....after research I found that a paradox is an ever ending image...but Chris is going for the "which came first"... "the chicken or the egg"..."no one will ever know" sort of question. I would have loved to have drawn an ever ending drawing as I have done in the past. I have learnt that I am the designer and I may not like what the client wants but it is not mine to decide.

PARADOX POSTERS

Aswel as the flyer there needs to be a poster too. Chris the event manager wanted it a bit different to the flyer. First I decided to rearrange the chicken and the egg and make it in to a Paradox circle with a plain background. I played around with colours and textured background.

Chris mentioned a spiral staircase as its never ending like a Paradox. I'm really pleased with the bottom three images, mainly the one with the green chicken and egg.

However I think chris wants it in black and white, which I feel wont look as good. This isn't up to me though.

I am having a meeting with chris the events manager on friday afternoon about how the flyers are going to look....I have made some concepts of how they could look, more information will have to be added.

I changed the placing of the chicken and the egg as they wouldnt fit side by side so I went for the chicken on top of the egg at different sizes.

After speaking to Chris who is in charge of the event, he decided that he wanted the flyer to contain a chicken and an egg as the paradox would be what came first the chicken or the egg.

I didnt just want to draw a boring chicken and a boring egg as the place is really funky as you can see from the picture I put up of the venue before. So i decided I would work with patterns and this is what I got.

I chose the type face Aubrey as it is the same one I used for my book fair masks and since then have grown a liking for it....

I sent this to Chris and asked him if anything need change, font, size, colours but he said he liked it exactly the way it was so I didn't need to do anything else for it.

This is just for the Facebook event page and not the actual flyer, the flyer will need a lot more information about the time,place and date.

I am creating a flyer for a night at Musiquarium Leeds which now has been decided on that it will be called "Paradox"

Not really sure what it means even tho I have heard of it, so here is some research.

Musiquarium Leeds

I have been asked to create a flyer for Musiquarium Leeds.
At the moment the name for the night hasnt been decided on yet. But I have been doing some research on the place which is quite to my liking...

The night I will be designing for will be the monday night student night, the flyer above shows where the night will go.

The inside of the place looks amazing, and although I havnt been given a brief yet I am already planning on doing something really colourful and bright.
